Hundreds of Members rallied on Thursday to tell Washington Gas that we're united for a fair contract. Management definitely took notice, but they are still not getting the message. Management continues to hold on to their demands to gut our job security language and No Layoffs protections.

Your negotiating committee made progress on Thursday on various side letter agreements about contract interpretation.

But negotiations broke down because management's chief negotiator is holding the No Layoffs protection hostage until we discuss economic proposals.

We expect to resume negotiations on Tuesday.

Solidarity is the key to winning a Fair Contract. Our fight is just getting started, and we need to keep building support and prepare for action.

Make sure to attend your Union meeting this Tuesday, May 18th at 6:00PM.

We will update you on negotiations and discuss next steps in our campaign to win a strong contract.
