May Membership Meeting Canceled; Rescheduled to June 16

We are canceling our May membership meeting due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. We will be rescheduling our June meeting for Tuesday, June 16th at the same location in Virginia—the Courtyard by Marriott Springfield, located at 6710 Commerce St, Springfield, VA 22150.

New Deadline to Vote on the Contract Extension

The Executive Board has extended the contract voting period to make sure that all Local 96 members have the opportunity to vote on the contract extension.

The COVID-19 pandemic has slowed mail delivery and most members have not received their voting packet.

The new deadline to vote is Tuesday, May 5th at 12PM. Members will vote online or by telephone but you need to be get an authorization code first.

How to Vote on the Contract Extension

Local 96 members will be voting on a 12-month contract extension that includes 15 months of wage increases and extensive COVID-19 protections. Here’s how the vote will work.

Every member was mailed a ballot packet. Your ballot packet will include a unique Access Code.

Tentative Agreement Reached; Provides Safety, Security

Your Local 96 Negotiating Committee has reached a tentative agreement with Washington Gas on COVID-19 health and safety protections and a one-year extension of our contract that provides security in very uncertain times.
